How to add a category name into the product name

In this tutorial, we will find out how using Product Catalog (CSV, Excel) Import module to add category name to product name during import using the "Field conditions" feature.

For example, in your file field "Product name" will be responsible for the product name and "Main Category" for the product category that you want to combine with product name.

On Step 2 in Additional Settings, we will create a custom field that will combine product and category name.

So custom field we will call "Product Category Name" and formula to combine fields will be: [Product name] [Main Category]

Then we will select our custom field for Product Name:

And after import you will get combined product name:
